About Aurora Arcade
Aurora Arcade is an independent collection of small, original browser games designed to be played in a minute or two, without installing anything.
Why we make these games
Most casual games ask for something before you can play: an app download, an account, a cookie banner, a video ad. We wanted the opposite — a page that loads, a single button, and a round that ends before you lose track of time. Every game on the site is built with plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript so it opens quickly even on an older phone or a slow connection.
The games
- Aurora Hunt — Trace the northern lights and collect star clusters in a 75-second night-sky run.
- Desert Quest — Tap scarabs and relics in the dunes, dodge the sandstorms, beat your best in 60 seconds.
- Acorn Stash — Catch forest finds of the size the forest asks for. Fifteen wrong taps and the season ends.
How we build them
Each game follows the same rules:
- One idea per game. You should understand what to do from the start screen alone. Detailed rules and scoring live on each game's page for anyone who wants them.
- Short rounds. A timer or a small set of lives keeps every session to roughly a minute.
- Works everywhere. Touch, mouse and different screen sizes are tested for every release.
- Private by default. Best scores are stored in your browser's local storage. There are no accounts, analytics scripts, advertising networks or third-party trackers. See the Privacy Policy for details.
- No money involved. There are no purchases, loot boxes or real-world prizes.
Who runs the site
Aurora Arcade is run by a small independent team at praequandoria.site. We read every message, and many improvements to the games started as a player's email. If you have an idea, a bug report or a question, use the contact page.
